According to research results of The Lupus Foundation of America, red krill oil provides a consistent supply of omega-3, which prevents annihilation of the body’s organs and tissues through antibodies in the body.

Blood Pressure: Recent researchers have supported the use of red krill oil to lower blood lipids, thus keeping blood pressure levels under control. It can also help to prevent risk of strokes and hypertensions, which have become serious risks of modern world.

Cardiovascular & Heart Health: One of the most important benefits of our red krill oil is the benefits around heart health and controlling cholesterol levels. It is effective in reducing cardiovascular risk factors as it lowers triglycerides, which are a fat type that prevents smooth heart function.

Cholesterol: The use of red krill oil can reduce LDL (“bad” cholesterol) and help to restore balance to your body’s cholesterol levels while also protecting cardiovascular health through its Omega-3s.

Chronic Fatigue: Red krill oil works to lower the levels of oxidative stress and normalizes the hypothalamic suppression in the blood that results in an active body with lower stress levels, and hence, fatigue is more easily overcome.

Connective Tissue: Red krill oil helps in relieving arthritis symptoms and provides nourishment to joint cartilage, tendons and connective tissues. Krill Oil includes important nutrients such as Omega-3 that form the structural basis of stronger cell membranes and joints.

The NutriNZ Advantage:

High Potency And Easy Absorbtion Bringing Better Results. Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill daily intake contains 1,500mg Krill oil and Astaxanthin. A higher level of bio-active ingredients than other brands, thus making it one of the best Krills on the shelf out there. It is a known fact that absorption is a key player in how you get your Omega-3s. That is why NutriNZ Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill contains easily absorbed Omega-3s that your body can make the most of.

Bioactive Components: Omega-3s found in Fish Oil are in the form of triglycerides, where as the Omega-3s contained within NutriNZ Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill naturally occur in the phospholipid form. Studies show:

  • Krill oil was able to activate 4,892 analysed genes whereas fish oil activated only 192.
  • 48x more potent than fish oil.
  • 300x more antioxidant power of vitamin A
  • 47x the antioxidant powder of Lutein.
  • 34x the antioxidant power of Coenzym Q10.

And Astaxanthin is known to be:

  • 6,000x stronger in antioxidant power than vitamin C
  • 800x better at singlet oxygen quenching than CoQ10
  • 550x stronger than green tea catechins and vitamin E
  • 75x stronger than alpha-lipoic acid
  • 54x more effective at free radical scavenging than beta-carotene
  • One of the highest concentrations of carotenoids found in nature

In fact, NutriNZ Maxi Omega-3 Krill is:

Safer And More Pure than Fish Oil which is notorious for high mercury and PCB levels harvested from large, massive fish in toxic waters. Krill oil in NutriNZ Maxi Omega-3 Krill is not exposed to these toxins as it is harvested from the deep, pristine waters in the Antarctic Ocean, rendering these dangerous chemicals virtually non-existent.

About Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Astaxanthin

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Red Krill Oil is rich in essential omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic (DHA) which are among the most researched nutrients in the world and are well known for their many benefits to maintaining good health. Today the scientific consensus is so strong that health policy makers worldwide, including the World Health Organization (WHO), all agree that omega-3s are essential for maintaining health.

'Essential' fatty acids mean that the body cannot produce these 'good-for-us' fats, hence they must be consumed from diet or supplements.

This website does not provide medical advice. Results may vary.

Unlike fish oil where the fatty acids are bound in the triglyceride form, in red krill oil they are bound in a phospholipid structure which the body instantly recognises and thus takes up the contents immediately at a high absorption rate.

Red Krill Oil naturally contains various potent antioxidants, including vitamin A and E and astaxanthin.  Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant that slows or eliminates the process of oxidation in the human body and helps protect human cells against free radical damage.

Unlike many other antioxidants, astaxanthin crosses the blood-brain barrier, where it could theoretically help protect the eye, brain and central nervous system from free radical damage.  Astaxanthin is derived from the algae that the krill eat. This algae produces the red astaxanthin that give krill, lobster and shrimp their red colour.

Adults: Take 2 SoftGels daily (with food)

Note: It is important for new customers to bear in mind that everybody’s metabolism and absorption rate varies. Most supplements can take up to 3 months to make a difference. We advise you to consider this for your order.

Caution: Contains shellfish. Consult your doctor prior to taking if on blood thinning medication.

Storage: Krill oil is used to colder temperatures and will not tolerate heat very well. This means that you should keep krill oil supplements in co0l and dark places. Krill or fish oils cannot tolerate temperatures around or over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius). Refrigeration is not recommended for softgel capsules because they can break and leak.

To use, simply open the capsule and sprinkle content onto their food. Once they try it they won’t eat it without it!
Small dogs and cats: 1 SoftGel
Medium to large dogs: 1 to 2 SoftGels
Horses: 2 to 3 SoftGels

Please note, that the above are recommended daily intakes, which can be doubled in case of severe symptoms.

Can you take Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill and Fish Oil at the same time?
Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill and Fish Oil should not be taken at the same time only because an imbalanced supply of Omega-3 can cause thinning of blood in the human body. It is best recommended to have it one at a time.

How is Krill in Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill different from Fish Oil?
One of the main differences between Krill oil in Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill and fish oil, is that krill oil naturally contains phospholipids in addition to the omega-3’s. These phospholipids are responsible for krill oil’s bio efficiency, helping to facilitate the uptake of the omega-3s into the cells. Another difference is that Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill contains astaxanthin, a natural antioxidant.

What is Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)?
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is a type of Omega-3 fatty acid that is essentially required by the body as a major dietary component, mainly for brain and eye health. For proper development of the brain and eyes, it is very important for kids to have sustained consumption of Omega-3 which is abundantly found in red krill oil. Apart from these benefits, DHA is also an important source of managing behaviours, improving cardiac health and functionality and in enhancing feminine health and rigour.

What is Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)?
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is an Omega-3 fatty acid that especially protects cardiovascular health from inflammatory pathways. Another natural component of red krill oil, EPA supports bodily health and is majorly ignored from common diets.

What is Astaxanthin (Haematococcus pluvialis)?
Astaxanthin comes from unique microalgae (Haematococcus pluvialis) which are a source of this carotenoid and antioxidant. A study in the Journal of Medicinal Food found astaxanthin to be much more powerful antioxidant than other carotenoids, even vitamin E. The krill eat these microalgae, retaining the natural astaxanthin and through Krill Oil capsules, this Astaxanthin can easily reach human bodies.

In fact, astaxanthin is known to be:

  • 6,000x stronger in antioxidant power than vitamin C
  • 800x better at singlet oxygen quenching than CoQ10
  • 550x stronger than green tea catechins and vitamin E
  • 75x stronger than alpha-lipoic acid
  • 54x more effective at free radical scavenging than beta-carotene
  • One of the highest concentrations of carotenoids found in nature

Is Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill safe for all ages?
There may be possibilities where some medications might be interrupted or intersected before a consumer adds Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill in their diet. As mentioned earlier on, Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill is an extremely safe product for child development during their infant years. As per the research of Nutrients, a journal publication supported the idea that Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill is an effective agent for behavioural and cognitive development of children.

When can you expect to feel results from Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill?
Some may feel results after a few days of taking krill oil. Changes in blood results can be seen after 1-3 months. Each person and condition is unique and responds to krill oil differently. For best results, couple Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill with a healthy diet and moderate exercise.

Is there any drug interaction issue associated with taking Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill?
If taken simultaneously with aspirin it can lead to impaired blood clotting. Also, following a surgery, Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill should not be consumed until one has fully recovered because of its blood-thinning property. In any doubts, it is the best solution to check with a healthcare provider whether or not Maxi OMEGA-3 Krill should be taken with other drugs.

NutriNZ Maxi Omega-3 Krill is a highly absorbable source of Omega-3. It’s a scientifically proven way to get more Omega-3 fatty acids into your diet without reflux and the infamous “fish burp”.

You can find thousands of References and Studies on the internet. Here a few of them:

Significant Improvement in Cardiovascular Health!

Results from a study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition reported that krill oil can significantly help maintain healthy inflammatory pathways. The study was conducted by measuring the presence of C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in the blood. One way to measure the risk of cardiovascular health is to determine the amount of the body’s CRP levels. The lower the CRP levels, the healthier the heart. Participants of the study were divided into two groups; a placebo and krill oil group.

During the study, CRP levels were measured three times. At the beginning of the study, after seven days and after 14 days. Here are the results they found:

  • After 7 days, the placebo group’s CRP levels increased by 15.7 % while the krill oil group REDUCED their CRP levels by 19.3%
  • After 14 days levels in the placebo group increased again by 32.1% while the group that had been taking 300 mg of krill oil daily reduced their CRP levels by 29.7%!

Sustain Healthy Cholesterol Levels After Just 90 Days!

Findings from a study conducted at McGill University in Montreal indicate that krill oil helps sustain healthy cholesterol levels. Participants were divided into four groups:

  1. Group A was given .5 – 1.5 grams of krill oil daily
  2. Group B was given 2 – 3 grams of krill oil daily
  3. Group C was given 3 grams of fish oil daily
  4. Group D was given a placebo.

Findings revealed that individuals taking just 500mg of krill oil daily achieved improvement in sustaining good (HDL) cholesterol levels compared to individuals taking 3 grams of fish oil.

Improved Joint Function in Just 7-14 Days!

One study published in the American Journal of Nutrition analyzed the effectiveness of krill oil in lubricating joints and supporting a healthy inflammatory response. Participants experienced…

  • Less joint distress
  • Reduction in joint stiffness
  • Increase in overall mobility

The most exciting finding in this study was that these results were noticeable in just the first 7 to 14 days, indicating that krill oil helps joint lubrication and agility.

Gives You A Sharp, Quick Mind

As we age, naturally memory sharpness, clarity and alertness decline. That’s why you’ll love to know that several scientific studies clearly show the tremendous brain health benefits of both omega-3’s and krill oil, including

  • One study of 30 adults with attention difficulties were shown to have increased mental concentration and mental focus just after 90 days of taking krill oil supplements.
  • It was also discovered that higher levels of omega-3’s for older adults resulted in a better chance of staying clear of concentration and memory loss than those with lower omega-3 levels.
  • Furthermore, krill oil contains the powerful antioxidant astaxanthin, which has the rare ability to cross the blood brain barrier and maintain cellular integrity.
